Between the 11th and 14th centuries, the entire Lake Orta region was in turmoil due to the battle for control over the lake trade routes. Two neighbouring and flourishing villages, Ingravo and Bolzano, were the protagonists of the intense conflict. In around 1362, the people of Ingravo moved to Bolzano, a community dedicated to sheep farming, mining and cereal crops, and built a tower there to store food.
The charming historical event held in Bolzano Novarese evokes the magnificence of the communities of the two towns, their differences and their peace treaties, as well as glimpses of late-medieval daily life, in an engaging interaction with visitors.
