Type of data processed
The mere navigation of the site does not require the provision of personal data, except those collected automatically and described below.
Navigation data
During navigation, the computer systems and applications dedicated to the functioning of the site collect certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. Such data are not collected to identify users, but by their very nature could allow them to be identified through processing and association with data held by third parties. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users who connect to the site, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) of requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in reply, the numerical code indicating the status of the response from the server (successful, error, etc..) and other parameters regarding the operating system and computer environment. These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the Site and could be used, at the request of the competent Authorities, exclusively for investigation or ascertainment of responsibility in judicial proceedings, in compliance with the regulations in force: except for this possibility, the data on web contacts do not persist for more than seven days.
Use of cookies
Cookies are small text files that the web server deposits on the device with which the user navigates, without identifying it. A cookie cannot read personal data saved on the hard disk or cookie files created by other sites, since the only information it can contain is that provided by the same user. The pages of this site make use of the following types of cookies:
Technical cookies
These are necessary to allow the safe and efficient navigation of the sites; they are session or persistent cookies, in general domain cookies, such as user preference cookies and tracking cookies. Technical cookies are used in such a way as to avoid the use of other IT techniques that could potentially compromise the confidentiality of users' browsing, as they do not allow the acquisition of personal data identifying the user.
Cookie analytics
For the purpose of collecting information on the number of users and how they visit the site and to elaborate general statistics on the service and its use, the institutional website of Regione Piemonte uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google. In order to analyze the most interesting points of the sites visited by the user, Google Analytics uses cookies for statistical purposes and collects information in aggregate form only, without associating the user's navigation IP address to any other data held by Google itself. Tools have been adopted to reduce the identifying power of cookies by masking significant portions of the IP. In addition, the appropriate Google Analytics settings have been activated so that Google does not cross-reference the data collected with other information it already has. On the Google Analytics site you can see the privacy policy. The use of some of these services may also result in data being stored in countries outside of Europe, and in particular in the United States, whose data protection legislation does not "adequately" guarantee the rights of European data subjects.
Third-party profiling cookies
On some pages linking to social networks and other multimedia applications, other third-party cookies may be set that can be used to monitor the browser and create a profile of the visitor's interests. This may affect what is displayed when browsing other sites. These cookies may also result in data being transferred to countries outside Europe and, in particular, to the United States. In particular, the updated links to the information on cookies are listed below, also in order to be able to disable the relative cookies installed and to know in detail the conservation times.

Browsing this site implies acceptance of the conditions of use, including features related to cookies that can be disabled using the specific options present in the various types of browsers. Except as indicated above, this website does not use other cookies to transmit information of a personal nature and does not use other systems for tracing users.
How to disable cookies (opt-out)
Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can refuse them. If you do not want to receive or store cookies, you can change the security settings of your browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari Opera, etc. ...). Each browser has different procedures for managing the settings.
Normally it is necessary to go to the "options/settings/advanced preferences" section of the browser and there access a section entitled "Privacy/Security/Data". Depending on your browser, you may be able to block all cookies, choose to block only third party cookies, or have your cookies deleted when you close your browser.
