Very fascinating and safe excursion on a path that is very accessible in every season due to its gentle slopes. At the summit you can enjoy a fabulous view over the entire headland of the Viù valley, from the Rocciamelone to the Bessanese.
Access: You can reach the city of Lanzo through the state road that runs along the Parco della Mandria, and that starts from Venaria Reale, or the state road that passes by Caselle Torinese. From Lanzo, continue towards the valleys, then follow the signs for Viù/Usseglio. After passing Usseglio, take the deviation for Pian Benot and follow the road until the arrival of the ski facilities.
Route: From the beginning of the plain, follow the route on the road, following the signpost, which then meets the downhill slopes. On the upper level the track bends to the right and then to the left, following the direction leading to the old ski lift. Towards the hill keep on the left, now the climb is less steep. Once you reach the watershed, turn right, following the ridge, passing the former arrival lodge.
At this point there is a short stretch to the summit, a few meters later in fact we begin to glimpse the small wooden cross where the path ends.
