At 1667 m of altitude is the Guido Muzio lodge, nestled in the Gran Paradiso Park, a few kilometers from the Ceresole Reale Lake. The building is a former military lodge built in 1939-1940 as a garrison at the border with France. It hosts a museum section with an adjoining library, which preserves historical photographs of the place.

Road access: Turin - Milan motorway, from Turin’s northern ring road, continue on the expressway to Aereoporto - Rivarolo, exit 3 towards Ceresole. Cross Rivarolo, continue on the ring road of Courgné, direction Ceresole. After forty kilometres you arrive at Ceresole Reale. Continue on the road to Colle del Nivolet, up to the Chiapili Inferiore hamlet.
Route: From the lodge there are various paths that you can take for an excursion on the snow. The easier ones reach Chiapili di Sopra (1 hour), then the Alpe Comba (2 hours). Among the paths of medium difficulty, the most beautiful is the one that leads to the Serrù Lake. From the lodge, continue for 7.7 kilometres following the road that leads directly to the dam.
