The arrival of the Great Puppet Theatre brings joy, and Pinocchio is amongst the audience. The show is running late, so Pinocchio sneaks into Mangiafoco’s theatre to say hello to his friends. He turns everything upside down. As he chats with the other puppets, he sets in motion the dream that is this adventure. From selling the ABC book to meeting Mangiafuoco, the unpleasant encounters are experienced with a light-hearted spirit and a desire to play and have fun before growing ‘up’.
