How can you break free from emotional dependency, stop always meeting the wrong men, and finally attract true love? Through her witty and direct prose, Alessandra Simone transforms her personal experience into a universal narrative, offering a clear-eyed and disenchanted view of contemporary romantic dynamics. On stage, an eccentric modern-day guru leads an unlikely workshop aimed at women eager to free themselves from toxic relationships. Through relaxation exercises, paradoxical visualisations and symbolic ‘emotional surgery’ techniques, the audience is guided on a journey of self-awareness and transformation. The show takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the stereotypes and paradoxes of contemporary women’s emancipation, alternating moments of brilliant comedy with more intimate and poetic passages. The staging takes the form of a hilarious collective ritual, in which the audience is drawn into a cathartic experience of liberation and the redefinition of femininity.
