A journey through time to celebrate two important anniversaries in the history of Piedmont's railways: the 150th anniversary of the Torino–Lanzo line and the 110th anniversary of the Torino–Ceres line. The heritage train departs from Torino Porta Nuova station and travels along the scenic route through the Lanzo Valleys. Passengers can enjoy the thrill of a journey aboard period carriages, amidst alpine landscapes and villages whose charm remains unchanged. Events:26 July: Historic train from Torino Porta Nuova to Lanzo Torinese, exploring the first section of the line inaugurated 150 years ago.9 and 23 August: Historic train from Torino Porta Nuova to Ceres, featuring the distinctive Art Nouveau and Swiss-style stations along the route. A guided tour of the two historic railway stations includes a visit to the indoor exhibition, the outdoor museum area and the static display of prestigious artefacts from the golden age of the Torino–Lanzo–Ceres railway.
