Heir to the ancient Piatti pastry shop, already active in the nineteenth century, Caffè Pasticceria Bonfante took its first steps in 1922. The founder, Luigi Bonfante, took over the business with the precise objective of relaunching and making known throughout Italy the Nocciolini, simple and exquisite treats based on Piedmont hazelnuts, sugar and egg whites. The place soon reached its purpose, becoming an important meeting point for citizens.
All the pastries and savoury dishes are produced with traditional recipes at the artisan laboratory. The interior of the Caffè Pasticceria Bonfante is a small jewel in Art Nouveau style: the marbles, mirrors, counters and finely decorated Piedmontese walnut paneling give the place a suggestive 1920s atmosphere.
