This venue, which is located in the centre of Cuneo, was conceived by a Swiss family, the Raiter family.
In the past, it was one of the few places where the proletariat could buy meliga pastries at a lower price than the competition. It was also frequented by the artists of Teatro Toselli, who were located nearby, and by the city's intellectuals and politicians.
Today it still maintains the beautiful storefront and sign "Pietro Bruno Confettiere Liquorista," with the coat of arms of supplier of the House of Savoy. In addition to the elegant wooden interior and a drop chandelier, there are still the period side tables with black marble tops.
