Pasticceria Roletti, now considered one of the most beautiful historic cafes in Piedmont, has been in business since 1896 and is a real gem: with the building in the style of the Viennese Secession and the store still retaining the taste of the period, it is truly a place out of time.
Linked to the Savoy residence of Agliè, supplier to the Royal House and the Duke of Genoa, it had among its illustrious clients Queen Margherita of Savoy and the Duchess of Pistoia, who, according to a legend, under the pretext of buying cookies dedicated to her, went to meet her lover.
The venue was also a favourite of poet Guido Gozzano, who lived nearby.
