PARCO NAZIONALE DEL GRAN PARADISO

It is the oldest national park in Italy, established on 3 December 1922, positioned between the regions of Valle d'Aosta and Piedmont, around the Gran Paradiso massif, managed by the Gran Paradiso National Park Authority, headquartered in Turin.

Covering an area of 71,043.79 hectares, on a predominantly mountainous terrain, it borders the Vanoise National Park on the French side.

In this area, also known for its enchanting lakes and waterfalls, other particularly striking mountains stand out, such as the Grivola, praised by Carducci, the Ciarforon, the Grande Sassière and the Granta Parey.
