PASTICCERIA PFATISCH

The historic Pasticceria Pfatisch was inaugurated in 1915 by the famous master of Bavarian origin Gustavo Pfatisch. In 1921 the business was moved to its present location at 42 Via Sacchi, inside the splendid Art Nouveau building designed by the famous architect Pietro Fenoglio, in full Art Deco style. In the basement there is a real gem: the complete factory for the production of chocolate. The old laboratory is now a perfect museum of chocolate from the beginning of the last century.

The production continues in the pastry laboratory, with gianduiotti, tablets, spreads and praline. Noteworthy is the savoury pastry shop, conceived at the beginning of the 1950s and awarded in 2023 by Gambero Rosso as the best in Italy.

"Il Festivo", the timeless cake born in the early 1960s, consists of two disks of cocoa meringue stuffed with chocolate chantilly cream and covered with ground chocolate, garnished with the characteristic tuft of chocolate puff pastry.

Pasticceria Pfatisch is an important example of a historic place that has remained almost intact since its foundation.
