PASTICCERIA BARBERO

In 1881 Marco Barbero opened an elegant confectionery shop in his native Cherasco. The Barbero pastry shop retains the Art Nouveau style of its origins: the counter, wooden shelves, white marble tables, shop windows, floors and brass chandeliers have undergone a careful restoration.

The pastry shop was visited by illustrious figures, such as King Vittorio Emanuele III, Prince Umberto of Savoy and Mario Soldati.

The first protagonists of the centuries-old history of the place, the Baci di Cherasco are based on a fine mixture of dark chocolate with 65% mass of cocoa mixed with Piedmont PGI hazelnuts roasted according to an old recipe and coarsely crushed.

In addition to Baci di Cherasco, the restaurant offers a wide selection of delicacies: cream puffs, dried pastas, cakes, nougats, chocolates, pralines, gianduiotti, truffles, damine, dragées, candies.
