The Caffè delle Rose Bistrot expresses the different souls of Lake Maggiore.
There is the sweetness of living in an aristocratic residence and we find it in the Garden Café, located in the eighteenth-century courtyard of Palazzo Viani Dugnani: in this outdoor space, you can have an aperitif in the shade of two centuries-old magnolias, inhaling the scent of potted lemons, perhaps conversing about the works of art preserved in the nearby Museo del Paesaggio opened in 1914.
The indoor bistro instead expresses the cosmopolitan refinement of the Art Nouveau style of the early 1900s: at that time in this environment there was the renowned Caffè Pasticceria Milanese; even today it is possible to read, on the paneling of the original furniture, the inscription of the furniture company "Giovanni Galfetti e Figli" from Como. It is not a flamboyant but rather collected interior, to taste high-quality dishes with appropriate drinks, admiring the paintings on the walls under the light filtered by the multicolored skylights.
The convivial joy of fine cuisine and wines also find their ideal space in the ancient ice-house.
