The Enoteca was founded in 1953 on the initiative of the great Italian industrialist Adriano Olivetti, who involved Canavese wine growers in the project. It was precisely the collaboration among the major wine producers in Canavese that led to the birth of one of Italy's most important Controlled Designations of Origin: Erbaluce di Caluso. Erbaluce (Passito, Spumante, Secco) was joined by Nebbiolo and Barbera, thanks to which more than 30 different labels are produced today. Today the Serra Regional Wine Shop has about 230 members, producing about 8,000 hectoliters of wine, 70% of which is DOCG and DOC.
