Who would not like to admire the view from a new standpoint? The giant benches created in 2010 by the American designer Chris Bangle have precisely this purpose.
The inventor wanted to create a different perspective. In fact, the size of the benches in itself evoke, in those who sit there, new sensations of amazement and wonder. As if awaking the enthusiasm that makes us look at things with new eyes, going back to childhood.
It is no coincidence that on the first bench inaugurated in Clavesana bears a writing in Piedmontese dialect that reads:
“S’i t’è dabsogn ed tirè un po’ el fia
set-te yes ensima e... it sentirè back masna" (If you want to catch your breath, seat here for a while and you will feel like a child again).
Countless benches have been installed over the years in the hills of Alta Langa and Asti.
Started as a project among friends, now the installations have conquered the hearts and soul of many people, who would hardly have imagined that one day they would have looked at the hills and the vineyards sitting on a bench of that size.
