The Railway Museum of Cuneo hosts a curious wooden ticket office from the twenties, coming from the station of Marene.
The marble slab, which is located in front of the counter, was used to "make the coins ring", in order to evaluate their authenticity, a particularly important check for those made of silver, which were more frequently the object of forgery.
The ticket office still holds some bowls that the ticket-master used to hold the different types of coins and the electric machine that was used to automatically write the date on the tickets in an indelible way. These were of different colours, depending on the class: green ones first class, white ones second and red ones third.
