The Borsalino myth began in Alessandria in 1857 when the two brothers Giuseppe and Lazzaro Borsalino opened the city's first hat workshop.
After a few decades, especially after Humphrey Bogart wore one for the final scene of "Casablanca", from Mastroianni in "Otto e mezzo", to Belmondo and Servillo, the most important men in cinema (as well as politicians and writers) chose to wear a Borsalino hat.
Too bad the company closed for good in 2017, today in its place is a museum where visitors can take a journey between past and present to discover the legendary Italian hat brand.
