We are in Spigno Monferrato, 400 metres above sea level not too far from Liguria. Here on the edge of the gullies, in a strip of land still little explored but with breathtaking landscapes, stands Cascina Bertolotto, now owned by the Galantini family, since 1816.
A winery of great prestige thanks to the indigenous grape varieties that have made Dolcetto d'Acqui, Barbera, Moscato and Brachetto d'Acqui, three very special wines, famous. The winery's aim is to show the strong link with the territory and its history but at the same time to recount a dream that has now become reality. The latter is called Metodo Classico Bolle di Nebbia Dosaggio zero, a wine that ages a good 120 months on the lees, alongside the classics in the winery's range such as Piemonte Brachetto Secco La Tia and Dolcetto d'Acqui La Muiette.
In addition to the biodiversity of the land, another element that has given lustre to the wines of the area is the presence of salubrious sea breezes that blow in from nearby Liguria: as well as safeguarding the surrounding vegetation, they are able to favour the ripening of the grapes, an element that ensures that the winery's range offers products from late harvests.
